The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Well, to be honest this movie is relatively easy to watch and does have some light-hearted comedy. The story line is quite interesting considering that I cannot really relate to the characters because I am a young person. I think that the characters are actually very inspirational and share a bit of their wisdom with the viewer.

Although it is not the kind of thing that I usually watch (I prefer action movies), I did find myself enjoying the film. It is a perfect film for a lazy Sunday morning and I would recommend it.

Quote of the Day

I apologise for not posting yesterday's quote so here is an extra special picture quote...

Is this Weird?

So if any of have seen the episode of '2 Broke Girls' you'll know what I'm talking about. I saw on the show that the main character (Max) dipped a chip/French fry into some cupcake icing and ate it. Now at first I found this quite odd until one day I actually decided to try the unusual combination. I have to say that was really good!

Now, I wouldn't recommend eating it all the time or in mass amounts because it can become very sickly. When my friends first saw me try this they gawped in horror and told me that chips/fries should never EVER come into contact with icing. But what I want to know is... Do you find it weird to try (and like) this strange combination?

Should you Start Blogging?

Well this is a dilemma that I had before I created 'An Average Life', I usually end up starting a project and never finishing it. The main thing to consider is what content are you going to have. Now yes I know, this blog is kinda weird in the sense that it doesn't have a particular theme. It's pretty random but this is not necessarily bad, granted if you are looking to make money from your blog you are probably going to want specific content. However, if you're like me and just feel like trying something new, go for it!

It isn't a set rule that you need to post every little thing that crosses your mind or that you need to post everyday (yes before you say anything I know I have). A blog is mostly about sharing your opinions with the world or giving helpful advice; to be honest I started my blog because I wanted to write. Not professionally or anything but it gives me a hobby.

So again (I apologise for the repetition) if you're thinking about starting a blog, do it! What's the worst that could happen. If you get bored and don't like it? Delete it and start a new one, it's that easy. Everyone has to try something once so give blogging a go.

And don't worry. My first blog was a complete disaster. I had a grand total of three posts that were rubbish, so I started again (and again once more) until I created 'An Average Life' and am finding it relatively easy to keep up with. Even bigger bonus - blogging doesn't have to cost you anything!!!

**An Average Life**

Quote of the Day

For all those people who enjoy being their own individual selves and not follow the rest of the crowd.

"Don't judge me I was born to be awesome not perfect"

So basically, stop trying to be perfect and just be you instead.

Having a Bad Day?

Now I know what you're thinking. Not another post that is telling me to stop dwelling on the problems I'm having because there's probably someone having a worse time. That's not what this post is about. This is about the simple fact that:

WE SHOULDN'T IGNORE A BAD DAY!

If we always make everyday great and (yes I'm going to say this) legendary that how are we supposed to know what a great day is? Granted bad days suck for you and everyone around you but there are things that you can do to reduce the constant feeling of the world being against you. For me personally, I disguise a bad day by doing a few straightforward things:
  • Show off a casual look: whether it is leggings and a long t-shirt or jeans and vest top accompanied with a thrown up pony/bun and minimal make-up. Nobody is going to doubt your style and looking great can make you feel that sight bit better.

  • Listen to music: anything and everything! Sad, happy, rock, country, pop. Everything! just turn up the tunes to give yourself a little boost.

  • Have your favourite meal/drink: one of the greatest things on earth, food. Make the right meal and it can cheer anyone up, even for a little while.

Quote of the Day

Today's quote is all about talking risks. If you come across an opportunity, take it! Don't look back and regret what you could have done.

"In the end we only regret the chances we didn't take..."

Where Rainbows End

Where Rainbows End was published by Cecelia Ahern and is written in a series of notes, emails and instant messages between the characters which I found to be an interesting change from the usually way novels are written.

I really enjoyed reading this and find the writing style a refreshing change to the usual style books have. As somebody who doesn't usually read many rom-coms but I'm finding this particularly interesting, it tells the story of best friends Alex and Rosie and how life brings them closer together and further apart. Hope is a major element of the story as Rosie and Alex stay friends and have to overcome things like failing marriages and an unexpected pregnancy. They keep I touch throughout the twists and turns of life which was truly inspirational. The characters have to find the courage to try and get where they want to be and not let the things that happen to them hold them back.

The book is easy enough to get into and I think that it will be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Bad Hair Day?

Hair, we all have it, it is the thing that can truly reflect the pride we have in ourselves. But having to tame unruly locks can be challenging when they just don't want to participate (and yes guys, I'm talking to you as well). Well here's an idea that anyone can pull off...

The Bedhead
These days Bohemian is in. That means that we can all pull off the tousled look we have without much effort. Guys with shorter hair, if it doesn't stick out at awkward angles why not try and rock the casual look? And girls, stick some braids in there; you could have braided headband or cross two over at the back. Even if you have shorter hair, hide some of your frizz with simple hanging braids.
Play around with it until achieve a unique style that suits you and your personality.

Quote of the Day

We all have times when we are called crazy but what does that honestly mean?

"I'm not crazy, I'm creatively insane!!" :)

There is crazy in all of us and without it, life would be dull!

Pavement Art

Pavements. We walk over them everyday without realising the potential that they hold. Here are some that have been created into something more than just a pavement.

The Company of Others

Nothing is better than sitting in all day and watching episode after episode of your favourite TV show, well that's my opinion anyway. But there are many times when you may long for company of others. The most common solution to this problem is the internet. Everyone you know in the same place at the same time. Unfortunately that doesn't cut it.

My Advice to my Readers
Make sure you always have plan at least one day to go out and meet up with people. Losing touch is something that is all too easy these days, especially when you start moving in different directs.
